Saturday Night Reflection: London, as from September 6 2008

In the context of Education and Training to Peace, the International Sufi School is organising a series of presentations and discussion on the lives of 16 peacemakers.

The presentations are the product of over three years ofresearch that the School has conducted about their lives and their contribution to peace. Even though they belong to different periods of history, different countries, different religious and cultural backgrounds, these peacemakers have marked the history of humanity through their actions for justice, nonviolence and peace.

Amongst them are the emblematic figures of Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Jody Williams, HH The Dalaï Lama, Eleanor Roosevelt, Emir Abdel Kader, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King (Jr), Wangari Maathaï, Shirin Ebadi, Sister Emmanuelle, Baha U’llah, Kofi Annan and Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba.

The meetings will be held on the first Saturday of every month. The first of these informal events will take place on Saturday the 6th of September 2008 with a theme
discussion on Fasting and the Spirit of Sharing. As it will be in the month of Ramadan, we will take this opportunity to break the fast together. There will also be a session of
meditation and Sufi chanting afterwards.

Join us for this convivial monthly meeting from 6pm to 8pm at
